Tipapa Woolshed Barn Wedding; The weather couldn’t have started on a better note.
As I drove up to Greta Valley on the morning of Aimee and Nick’s wedding, the sun slowly made its way over the Waipara Hills giving the backlit grape vines an angelical glow.

Upon my arrival at Tipapa, the girls were already in party mode with some tunes playing in the background.
I was flying solo on this particular day. Pip was turning up later as a wedding guest. It was her friend’s wedding.
The morning was chilled and chatted and hung out with the girls.
Detail shots are usually Pip’s gig, but on this particular day, I had to step up and capture them. Aimee’s wedding dress looked stunning and was looking forward to seeing her in it.
Stepping into the Woolshed-Barn which was only fifty meters from where the girls were getting their hair and makeup done, there was a mixture of the rustiness of the Woolshed with a touch of elegant decorations and detail. Pretty is the word I would use to describe the setup.
Boys getting ready – Motanau Beach
I left the girls getting their beauty on and dashed over to Motanau Beach where the lads were scrubbing up for the wedding. The boys had spent the night before at a batch at Motanau beach and were getting ready at the same location.
As they do, the boys looked relaxed and were busy having some beers.
We got straight down to the business end and shot the guys as they got dressed.
The batch was overlooking the Motanau Beach Island, and the view was just too beautiful not to include in the photos.
After spending time with the boys and was happy with the images, I left the boys to their own devices and went back to join the bride and her bridesmaids.

By the time I got back to the girls, it was time for the bride and bride maids to suit up for the main event.
John, the owner of Tipapa, had kindly allowed the girls to get dressed in the homestead.
The Homestead is a two-story building with large bedrooms upstairs and the living areas downstairs. I fell in love with the furniture which suits the rustic nature of the farm venue and wedding theme.
Aimee simply looked stunning in her Vera Wang wedding dress. With the bride looking gorgeous and elegant in her lovely dress and some time to spare before the wedding ceremony, we utilized the beautiful interior of the homestead to take some photos of the girls.
The photo taking was filled with laughter as the girls kept cracking up, I loved every minute of it. Nothing beats natural smiles and joy in wedding photos.
Outdoor Lawn-Tipapa Woolshed Barn Wedding- Ceremony
With everyone ready and set to go, it was time for the ceremony to get underway.
The wedding ceremony was short and sweet, and the celebrant kept it humorous and light-hearted.
After the formal family photos which I was glad Pip was at hand to assist me with, I snuck away with the bridal party for more photos around the farm.

The photos were a blast with the bridal party cracking up and just having a time of their lives, my job became ten times easier.
We had lots of stuff to work with around the venue and we sort of went in a loop around the property until we got back to the lawn where the ceremony had been. By that time all the guest has gone to the Woolshed to wait for the reception kick off.

Oooh, what a night! Great speeches, great night had by all including yours truly.
I got to put the cameras away and join my loved one on the party wagon.
