Hagley Park Christchurch – Engagement – Pre-Wedding shoot – Dan and Row
Hagley Park; Oz had a spot in Hagley Park which he had always wanted to use for a photo shoot. Dan and Row’s pre-wedding shoot was the perfect for the location.
Fun all the way
When we first met Dan and Rod, Row had told us she had a cute bike with a basket – this got Oz very excited as he loves to photograph those kinds of bikes.
Biking for Dan and Row is a big part of who they are and what they do. Dan will cycle well over hundred kilometres on the weekends. He is as fit as a fiddle I tell you.
If couples have hobbies they part-take in; we love to work these into the engagement shoot.
We arranged to meet Dan and Row at Hagley Park. We’d found a cool spot that had a tree lined road that would work perfectly with the bikes. It also had a bench seat and small unsealed path just next to the other one we could use for some photos.
Row was dressed perfectly to match her bike (nails included), and Dan complimented her perfectly. These two are the cheekiest couple we’ve worked with, cheeky in the most playful of ways (check out the pinching of the bum photo)
Swing Dancing in Hagley Park
They made this shoot so super simpler; we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Dan and Row’s swing dancing background made for some cool photos. We knew from this shoot that the wedding was going to be a blast.
Having this pre-wedding shoot with Dan and Row gave us a real insight who they are together as a couple. We also learnt how to invoke them for them to bring out their personalities. Furthermore, they got to see how we worked and by the end of the shoot, Dan who thought of himself as not being photogenic was pleased with the way the session had gone.
